To be sensitive (Message of Light)

From the book of Psalms 34:20 :

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

Every day, man must face new situations, new realities. Every day, new experiences, temptations, and tribulations must present themselves to man in order to test his faith, gauge his level of consciousness, and ignite within him the fire of love he has for himself and everything around him. «Each day has enough trouble of its own,» says the Lord (Matthew 6:34). And when these circumstances are painful, man labels them as misfortunes… but is that a fitting description? If these «unfortunate» situations are truly unhappy, why would Christ ask us to love our enemies and pray for those who harm us (Matthew 5:44)? Have you ever pondered on this? Can gold be tested without fire? And if it isn’t tested, how can its purity be seen?

Our one and only goal in this world is to learn how to grow; grow in faith; grow in spirit; grow in consciousness! But if we have nothing to confront ourselves with, how could we experience who we are, in order to make wise choices that are good for ourselves and for others? Spiritual growth is a constant work, and it is only through experiences, both pleasant and unpleasant, that we can achieve it. What we can call «misfortune» is therefore just the fire that tests our faith in order to make it grow even more! But once again, it would be necessary to understand this state of affairs and adopt appropriate behaviors so as not to waste these unique opportunities to rejoice our soul…

«I consider that the sufferings of the present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed for us,» said Saint Paul the Apostle in his letter to the Romans 8:18. This is the word of an enlightened conscience. «After rain comes sunshine,» says the proverb. But I can only feel and fully live under sunny skies if I have known how to fully live through rainy moments! That’s the recipe. Hence the importance of continuously working on one’s sensitivity. Certainly, it undeniably hurts having to feel and endure pain from suffering. But it should be understood that this is the only way to expiate it. To ward off suffering, dissipate pain, and replace all this with joy from glory and victory means having the ability to face what happens here and now!

Even if we often think we are far from it, the kingdom of heaven, this space of happiness and eternal bliss is within reach. It just takes awareness and conversion to enter into this dimension. To convert is to soften one’s heart; it is to learn to feel, as much as possible, things in order to guarantee the state of grace of one’s spirit! Because by repressing emotions out of fear, one ends up completely identifying with this fleeting, mischievous, cunning and astute being that is different from who we really are, and that takes hold of our life to plunge it into the abyss. Is this really what you want?

Good meditation.
